Where It All Began

It started with a dream, a coal-fired oven, and a family recipe handed down through generations. In 2002, Anthony Bruno opened the first location in Doral, Florida, with a single belief: that the best pizza deserves the highest heat. Coal fires burn hotter and more evenly than any other fuel, and that intense heat — reaching over 800°F — creates a uniquely crisp, perfectly charred crust that you simply cannot replicate any other way.

Anthony grew up in South Philadelphia watching his grandmother roll dough by hand, stretch it with practiced ease, and slide it into the family's old coal oven. Those childhood smells of caramelized crust and bubbling fresh mozzarella never left him. When he relocated to Florida, he brought that tradition with him — and the community embraced it immediately.

What started as a single neighborhood pizza spot quickly became a beloved institution. Today, we remain true to the original vision: exceptional ingredients, uncompromising technique, and the kind of warm hospitality that makes every guest feel like family.

2002

The Grand Opening

Anthony Bruno opens the original Doral location at 2801 NW 87th Ave. The restaurant's signature coal-fired oven is custom-built and imported from Pennsylvania.

2005

Community Award

Voted "Best Pizza in Doral" by the Miami New Times for the first time — an honor that would be repeated six more times in the following decade.

2008

Menu Expansion

The kitchen team introduces coal-fired wings, roasted cauliflower, and a craft salad menu — broadening our appeal while keeping pizza at the heart of everything.

2012

10th Anniversary

We celebrated our 10th anniversary with a sold-out charity dinner that raised over $40,000 for Miami-Dade food banks — giving back to the community that made us.

2016

Catering Launch

Anthony's expanded into full-service event catering, bringing coal-fired perfection directly to weddings, corporate events, and private parties across South Florida.

2020

Online Ordering
